Hitachi expands in Singapore

The acquisition is designed to strengthen Hitachi’s proposal capabilities by combining its reverse osmosis (RO) membrane systems with Aqua Works’ fountain and pool water features. Hitachi will also leverage Aqua Works’ customer base in Southeast Asia to strengthen and expand its water and environmental solutions business. Flowserve seals SIHI acquisition

lowserve Corp has completed the acquisition of SIHI Group BV from TBG Europe NV (see Filtration Industry Analyst, November 2014).

Headquartered in Itzehoe, Germany, SIHI is a global provider of engineered vacuum and fluid pumps and related services, mainly serving the chemical market, as well as the pharmaceutical, food & beverage and other process industries. SIHI products include membrane systems ranging from standard compact units to complex purpose-built solutions. SIHI employs approximately 1675 people across nine manufacturing facilities and other sales and service locations in Europe, Asia and North and South America. “SIHI’s existing installed base and its leading position as a supplier of vacuum and fluid pumps will complement our chemical industry strategy,” said Mark Blinn, president and CEO of Flowserve. “This acquisition provides Flowserve additional engineering and manufacturing experience and the opportunity to leverage our global platform to deliver on the combined financial synergies. Cantel Medical purchases Pure Water Solutions

antel Medical Corp has bought the assets of Pure Water Solutions Inc in a US$11.9 million cash deal. Headquartered in Ridgeland, Mississippi, Pure Water Solutions provides water purification products and services for commercial, industrial, laboratory and medical customers from eight regional offices in the southeastern United States. The company had pre-acquisition unaudited revenues and EBITDA of just over US$8 million and US$2 million, respectively, for the trailing 12 months.

GLV becomes Ovivo

LV Inc has changed its name to Ovivo Inc. The name change follows the completion of the sale of the Pulp & Paper Division and reflects the company’s focus on water treatment products and solutions (see Filtration Industry Analyst, September 2014). Ovivo Inc’s shares are traded on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the ticker symbols OVI.A and OVI.B. Ovivo has also completed the sale of its Germany-based Van der Molen division to Radial Capital Partners. Van der Molen manufactures system and process technology for the beverage industry.

GEA raises 2014 revenue forecast

EA Group AG is now expecting organic revenue growth of approximately 5% in fiscal 2014. The German engineering group had been expecting only moderate organic revenue growth for the year. Following stable order intake in the second half of 2014, GEA’s preliminary order intake for fiscal 2014 was E4.5 billion. GEA will publish preliminary key figures for fiscal 2014 and its outlook for 2015 on 4 February 2015.
