Channel tunnel contract awarded Cross Manufacturing Co. (1938) Ltd has won an order valued at f2/, million for high performance water filtration equipment to be installed for the Channel Tunnel. The order, placed by Trans Manche Link, involves a total of twenty-two automatic self-cleaning online filtration plants to protect pumping and refrigeration equipment in the tunnel’s air conditioning chilled water circuits. Cross high performance water filters have been specified for use in power stations, commercial buildings and various bulk water operations, but the Channel Tunnel application is the largest to date.
