A 14 page bulletin available from Texaco in the U.S. describes Jeffamine EDR-148 (triethyleneglycoldiamine), an epoxy curing agent containing sterically unhindered amine groups. The bulletin explains why this agent offers the formulator a combination of flexibility and reactivity not found in many curing agents and presents comparative data on the properties of' epoxy systems cured with EDR-148 and the properties of systems cured with other curing agents, at elevated, ambient and subnormal temperatures. Courtaulds advanced filament winding has been awarded AQAPl Edition 3 registration by the Ministry of Defence in the U.K., the highest approval available within the MOD, for f‘ibre reinforced plastics and advanced thermoplastic foams.
