De.mem to buy German industrial wastewater treatment company

ustralian-Singaporean water and wastewater treatment company De.mem Ltd has signed a binding agreement to acquire a 75% stake in Germany’s Geutec Umweltund Abwassertechnik GmbH for approximately A$915 000 in cash. Essen-based Geutec develops, manufactures and sells chemicals-based products and solutions for industrial wastewater treatment serving customers across Germany and Europe. Customers include small and medium sized companies (SMEs) and a number of multinational corporations from the heavy industrial, plating and metals processing industries. Geutec’s chemicals complement De.mem’s membrane-based water treatment products. “Geutec’s chemicals-based water and wastewater treatment solutions are highly synergistic to our membrane products,” said Andreas Kroell, CEO of De.mem Group. “The acquisition of Geutec GmbH provides www.sealingtechnology.info a logical expansion of De.mem’s product range into the supply of industrial chemicals for water and waste water treatment. 2O Innovation Inc has entered into a binding agreement to acquire Genesys Holdings Ltd, a group of privately-owned companies based in the UK that develop, manufacture and distribute speciality reverse osmosis (RO) membrane chemicals, antiscalants, cleaners, flocculants and biocides. Established in 2001, Genesys has a portfolio of more than 35 products that are manufactured at its facility in Cheshire, UK. Genesys also offers complete laboratory services such as feed water and pre-treatment tests, membrane autopsies and cleaning program design. The company provides chemicals and services to the membrane industry in almost 70 countries around the world and has a large distribution network. “The combination of Genesys’ product offering with our existing PWT product line will create a leading supplier of specialised chemicals for membrane water treatment plants,” said Frédéric Dugré, president and CEO of H2O Innovation. “Once the acquisition is completed, H2O Innovation will deliver to clients an even broader portfolio of products and solutions through one of the largest distribution networks in the world. Fluence raises A$36.0mn to fund continued expansion

luence Corp Ltd has raised A$36.0 million through a placement of approximately 81.8 million of the company’s ordinary shares to sophisticated and professional institutional investors at an issue price of A$0.44 per share. Net proceeds from the placement will be used to fund Fluence’s continued expansion in China for MABR sales, to bolster geographic expansion, for CES projects guarantees, to optimize the business’s cost structure, as well as for general corporate purposes. panish pool equipment company Fluidra is marking 50 years in business. Established in 1969 as Astral SA by four founding families, today Fluidra operates internationally across both the residential and commercial pool & wellness markets. Following initial success in Spain, the company began its international expansion during the 1970s in France and Italy. The 1980s and 1990s saw the company consolidate its business in Spain and expand internationally, opening subsidiaries across Europe and the Middle East. Banco Sabadell acquired 20% of the company’s share capital in 2002. In 2007, the company went public when Fluidra listed on the Spanish Stock Exchange.
