H2O Innovation secures contracts in USA and Canada Calgary, Canada where Sigma Environmental will design and manufacture a water purification system.

Hutchison Whampoa launches Hutchison Water division Hutchison Whampoa Ltd (HWL) has launched a new division, Hutchison Water, which intends to be a provider of comprehensive water production and treatment solutions. With offices in Hong Kong, China and the Middle East, Hutchison Whampoa has said this new division looks to tap into the rising demand for water globally as populations and industries grow by providing efficient and cost effective solutions for each client’s water needs. H2O Innovation (2000) Inc has announced the signing of three new contracts in California, USA and Alberta and northern Quebec, Canada. The contracts total C$2,675,000, bringing the firm’s backlog to C$17 million. The first contract was awarded to H2O’s American subsidiary, Membrane Systems Inc. The low pressure membrane filtration system to be installed in the city of Oxnard, California, will recycle 6 million gallons of wastewater per day using membrane technologies. H2O’s Alberta division, Sigma Environmental, has been

awarded a contract for the design and manufacture of a water purification system to be installed in an oil industry construction camp near Calgary, Alberta. Once up and running, H2O says the nanofiltration system will produce 84,000 gallons of quality drinking water per day for the camp workforce. Lastly, H2O has also secured a contract to supply a mobile wastewater treatment unit to a mining camp in Northern Quebec, Canada, as a result of new regulations requiring an increase in the quality of effluents. www.h20innovation.com
