KSB to supply 200 pumps Taco expands with for Egyptian power plants Italian acquisition KSB Group has recently received a multi-million euro order to provide 200 pumps for three new power stations to be built in Egypt. The order comprises 36 boiler feed pumps, 24 condensate pumps and eight cooling water pumps as well as 132 process pumps. The boiler feed pumps cover flow rates of up to 500 cubic metres per hour and heads of 2000 metres and above.

These pump sets have an electrical drive rating of 3550 kW and weigh 18 tonnes each. The customer is a German power station construction company, which has been commissioned by the Egyptian government to extend the country’s power supply system. Shipment of the first few units is scheduled to start at the end of 2016. www.ksb.com

Taco Comfort Solutions has signed an agreement with Askoll Holding srl to acquire Askoll Sei, a manufacturer of high efficiency pumps based in Sandrigo, Italy. When the acquisition of Askoll Sei has been completed, the new Taco Group company will be re-named Taco Italia srl and will use the trade name Askoll Flow Solutions. Askoll is a licenced trademark of Askoll Holding srl. Luca Bolcati, corporate business director of Askoll Group, will become senior vice president of Taco International and Stefano Salvi will continue as general

manager of the new Taco Group company. Andritz to provide pumps for Chinese water supply Andritz Hydro has received an order from Hohhot Water Supply to equip two pumping stations in the city of Hohhot in Northern China with six and five doubleflow split-case pumps, respectively. The two pumping stations will deliver 200 000 cubic metres of water per hour from the Yellow River to the city of Hohhot. As the Yellow River carries large quantities of sand, the pumps will have a special highly resistant coating.
