imrit UK now has both a new Managing Director and Sales Director. Mark Syer has joined the company as the new managing director. He has more than 20 years experience in the sealing industry including rotary, reciprocating and static seals for a wide range of industries. Stuart Campton has taken over the responsibility of Sales Director in the UK, Ireland and Aerospace Europe. ohn Crane has announced that subject to regulatory approvals it has acquired Indufil BV a company that specialises in the production of patented filtration systems used for rotating equipment fluid, fuel and gas conditioning. Employing some 95 people, Indufil has bases in Duiven and Ede and much of its output is used in the petrochemical and power generation sectors. Mike Mansell,

Global gasket supply agreement announced

amons has been awarded a new five year global gasket agreement with Dow Chemical Co. Lamons will supply the Dow Chemical locations world wide. Lamons local service strategy, originally in North America, but now in many countries has permitted the company to meet the global requirements of Dow.

Rexnord expands sales force

hree new sales appointments have been announced by Rexnord Aerospace. Frank J. Kuzniar has rejoined the Rexnord Aerospace Sales Team as the District Sales Manager for the Western Region, USA. Frank will resume his role as sales/account manager for several key Aerospace accounts which include: Boeing - Seattle, Parker Aerospace, Goodrich Aerostructures and Hamilton Sundstrand. His appointment is intended to strengthen the sales efforts to support the Aerospace Product Group as it introduces two new bearing offerings and several new seal products to the Aerospace Industry in 2009.

Dow Corning opens silicone rubber plant in China

ow Corning has announced the opening of a multi-million dollar investment in a new silicone rubber plant to support growing demand from customers in Asia. Located at Zhangjiagang, in Jiangsu Province, the new plant is the largest investment Dow Corning has made globally in silicone rubber in the last ten years. The 6000m2 site will manufacture high consistency rubber (HCR) and liquid silicone rubber (LSR) for a full spectrum of industrial and consumer applications. It will serve the needs of customers in China and throughout Asia. Dow Corning (Zhangjiagang) Silicone Co., Ltd. is an integral part of the manufacturing site currently under development at the Jiangsu Yangtze River Chemical Industrial Park in Zhangjiagang City. This integrated site includes China’s largest facility to manufacture siloxane, basic silicone materials, with an investment of US$600 million, as well as downstream finishing plants.
