Book review Pocket Atlas of Sectional Anatomy Volume II: Thorax, Heart, Abdomen and Pelvis, Torsten B. Moeller, Emil Reif, 4th ed.. Thieme Stuttgart, New York (2014). Paperback edition £27.59 Whilst the preface doesn’t state which audience this book is written for, it is clear that it would be of interest to anyone who views CT or MR images as part of their work. The book, part of a series, has no text as such, but rather consists of many series of axial, coronal and sagittal sections of the thorax, heart, abdomen and pelvis images. Each image is given on the left hand side of the page with the corresponding labelled colour illustration of the same area on the right hand side. The strength of the book lies in its clear lay out with good quality scans and the colour indexing system allows ease of access to the areas of the reader’s interest. Errors or omissions noted are that pages 96, 97 and 98 are labelled as CT scans of the heart but are

in fact MR images and there are no CT axial images of the female pelvis. An erratum will be placed in future copies by the publishers to address these discoveries. The book is moderately priced compared to books of a similar type and its A5 size means it is convenient to carry around whilst on clinical placement. Overall this is an excellent reference book for student radiographers of both disciplines and doctors or anyone involved in CT or MR imaging.
