US. Patent 6,270,671. Aug. 7, 2001 J. Shorr and J.R Toohil, assignors to United State Filter Corp., Palm Desert, Calif.

L. Kreisler, c/o KBF Pollution Management Inc., Paterson, N.J.

A m e t h o d comprising flowing pressurized w a t e r including a precipitate through a substantially t u b u l a r semipermeable membrane comprising sub-micron filt r a t i o n media and h a v i n g an i n n e r surface and an outer surface, w h e r e i n the flow of the water is turbulent; and collecting a filtrate from the outer surface of the m e m b r a n e , w h e r e i n the filtrate contains a concentration of dissolved precipitate below the solubility limit of the precipitate.

A process for s e p a r a t i n g and recovering m e t a l s from acidic waste streams comprising adding a complexing agent to cause metals to precipitate in the form of a sludge, said complexing agent being a mixture of water, an inorganic base, and a thiocarbamate or dithiocarbamate selected from the group consisting of sodium d i m e t h y l d i t h i o c a r b a m a t e , zinc d i m e t h y l d i t h i o c a r b a m a t e , and mixture thereof; dewatering and drying the sludge to a substantially anhydrous state; and melting to recover the metals therefrom.

The Valspar Corp., Minneapolis A composition comprising 50 to 100% of a blend of polyesters; 0 to 25% of a modifying resin selected from the group consisting of an epoxy or phenoxy resin; 0 to 25% of an inorganic filler; 0 to 4% of a flow control agent; and 0 to 50% of a second modifying polymer, the composition having a particle size of 100 microns or less.

"Chrome" almost any substrate - fiberglass, Styrofoam, metal, plastic, ceramic, or glass. Durable - suitable for OEM exterior use. The closest duplicate to gold, bronze, or copper available today. Antiquing, aluminum looks and other special effects available. Environmentally friendly - water based "chroming" process with no toxic metals. No size limit - no chrome bath or vacuum chamber size limits. Very cost effective.
