Response by George W. Hahn It is difficult to find words that would adequately express my appreciation for the honor you have conferred upon me. There are but few men in this world whose accomplishments are solely the result of their own efforts. There are many whose accomplishments are in some measure predicated upon the contributions of others. I feel certain that this award is largely the result of what has been accomplished by the supervised preceptorship program. I would be remiss if I did not remind you that much of the success of this program has been due to the devotion of those who have served on the qualifying committees at both the A. A. 0. and the constituent society levels, These men have given generously of their time and energy in maintaining the standards and the ideals upon which the program was founded. In honoring me you are likewise honoring them, and for this I am most grateful.
