Price increases will range from US$16 to US$19 per kilowatt above current Tier 1 price levels.The higher prices reflect the additional value of the advanced technology used to achieve the lower emission levels required by EPA Tier 2 regulations. Siemens creates water joint venture in China Siemens Industrial Solutions and Services Group (I&S) is taking a majority stake in the Joint Venture Tianjin National Water Equipment & Engineering Co Ltd, increasing cooperation with the subsidiary of the North China Municipal Engineering, Design & Research Institute, Tianijn. The objective of this cooperation, reports the company, is to concentrate more on developing and releasing products for China’s water and wastewater industry. “This partnership will allow Siemens to leverage its technologies with local expertise and capabilities, and open local sales channels, sourcing and servicing,”said Hans Werner Linne, Head of I&S in China at a press conference in Shanghai. “These factors will benefit

Clarcor buys materials company Clarcor Inc is to acquire Martin Kurz & Co, Inc, a privatelyowned manufacturer of sintered porous metal laminates used in screening and filtration products for a wide array of industries, including pharmaceutical, petrochemical, aerospace, paper and chemical process industries. The company sells these products under its Dynapore and Foil-Mesh brands and will operate as a member of Clarcor’s purolator advanced filtration group, which in turn is part of Clarcor’s industrial/environmental filtration segment.
