MARKET PROSPECTS

Pump Industry Analyst

FW will carry out the work through a partnership with Duro Felguera SA, a Spanish manufacturing and construction contractor. FW originally supplied the 350 MWe boilers between 1976 and 1979 as brown coal units and modified the systems between 1993 and 1996, allowing the boilers to fire up to 50% imported coal. As a result of the run-down of the local brown coal mine supplying the plant, this latest upgrade is designed to enable the boilers to fire 100% imported low-sulfur coal. Work on the first unit will start immediately and the entire project is scheduled to be completed in 2008.
