Andrew, G. White and J. Knight, from the Cardiac Surgical Research Group and Southpath, Flinders Medical Centre, South Australia, Australia.

Dr Lyon performed this work in 1998 during his tenure as a Registrar in Cardiothoracic Surgery at Flinders Medical Centre. Dr Lyon is currently an NHMRC postgraduate scholar, completing his second year towards an MD degree at Monash University in the Cardiac Surgical Research Unit, Baker Institute–Alfred Hospital.
