REVIE WS Tuberculosis in Obstetrics and Gynaecology GEORGE SCHAEFFER, Cornell University Medical College; J. and A. Churchill, London. 1956. Pp. 307. £ 3 3s. I t is more than twenty years since the last book in English on this subject was published. Another was clearly due. The book deals with all important aspects of management of the woman with tuberculosis during pregnancy, labour and the puerperium, and describes the manifestations and treatment of tuberculosis of the breast and female genital tract. It is clearly written with the authority of experience and well produced. The references appear adequate and well chosen. The book will probably become the standard English work on the subject and remain so for a long time.

Postural Drainage E. WINIFRED THACKER, Harefield Hospital; Lloyd-Luke, London. 1956. Pp. 56.

8s.6d. This book is a practical, clearly written and well illustrated account of the details of postural drainage. It appears to be written for physiotherapists; but those who order the treatment may profit as much from the' book as those who give it. It should be particularly useful to those working in centres where skilled physiotherapy is not yet available.
