FLANDERS SEALS ECO-AIR PRODUCTS DEAL Flanders Corporation has completed the acquisition of Eco-Air Products Inc, a San Diego-based air filter manufacturer, for US$13 million in cash plus up to US$5 million in stock.
Eco-Air has annual revenues of more than US$22 million, giving combined revenues in excess of US$156 million. Robert Amerson, president and chief executive officer (CEO) of Flanders, described Eco-Air as "a regional powerhouse" on the West Coast, which is Flanders' weakest domestic sales territory. Eco-Air's four additional manufacturing facilities, including a large plant in Mexico, will significantly expand Flanders' coverage in the US market. Len Fetcho, CEO of Eco-Air, said the merger offered benefits to both companies, giving Eco-Air access to Flanders' technology for product development of high-end and standard-grade products, while at the same time absorbing some of Eco-Air's under-utilised production capacity.
