powered injectors developed by Hingerose has a new addition, the D8210R. An 8 m3/per hour model, that doses from 2% to 10%. It’s capacity for water flow is from 5000 l/hr to 8000 l/hr. Its high dose rate, along with its capacity for high water flow, is what sets it apart from the rest of the Dosatron range. Hingerose, the sole importer of these units is confident that the new D8210R will be as reliable as the other well known dosatron injectors. Advanced soft starters for pumps ABB Control’s advanced starters for motor pumps, compressors, conveyors

soft fans, and

other large machinery have now received approval from Underwriters Laboratories (UL) for use in panel building projects and OEM products destined for the USA and other countries where such product approval is needed. The range also meets relevant European standards. The ABB Control “Softstart” range helps extend the lifetime of motors, and cuts maintenance costs, by reducing the mechanical and electrical stresses at start-up and when stopping. At startup, voltage gradually increases from an initial value to the final value either linearly or exponentially, depending on the model type. The three models in the Softstart range, PSA, PSD and PSDH, together cater for a broad range of standard and heavy-duty industrial soft start applications. The models range from 4 to 450 kW motor output, with rated operational voltages of 220 to 415 V and rated operational currents of 18 to 840 A. A universal standard drive featuring Direct Torque Control (DTC) technology has been launched by ABB. The AC drive, designated ACS 600, uses DTC to achieve the highest speed control and torque control accuracy ever provided by an open-loop drive. Because the drive is open-loop, it avoids the added cost and inconvenience of pulse encoder feedback, normally required with traditional PWM flux vector, DC and servo drives. The static speed control accuracy of the ACS 600 is dependent on the motor’s characteristics and the static speed error is typically 0.1% to 0.5% of nominal speed. This satisfies over 95% of all industrial applications for drives including pumps, fans, mixers, materials handling, lifts, hoists, centrifuges and extruders. ACS 600 features an AC line choke for reduced harmonics and improved immunity to line transients, as well as the use of fibre optics for noise immunity. For larger powers, the ACS 600 is the first drive to use powerplate IGBT devices. The devices incorporate the entire inverter bridge which brings a highly compact design together with higher performance and product reliability through fewer connections and better noise immunity. The next evolution of technology is now available. seepex now offers the capability to integrate the mixing of dry lime, (CaO) with dewatered sludges in it’s range of BTI pumps. Sludge conditioning and transport now performed by one compact, contained and economic unit.
