2005 A.A. Benedetti-Pichler award in microchemistry American Microchemical Society The American Microchemical Society (AMS) requests nominations for the 2005 A.A. BenedettiPichler award in microchemistry. The A.A. BenedettiPichler Award recognizes outstanding research, administration, teaching and other activities that promote the advance of microchemistry. The award has been given on an annual basis since 1966 (except 1973). For more information about A.A. Benedetti-Pichler, the American Microchemical Society, the Microchemical Journal and a list of previous awardees see the AMS web site: http:y ywww.microchem.org Nominations should include: (1) letters from the nominee’s home institution; (2) at least three letters from outside the nominee’s home institution; (3) a professional summary; and (4) a biography of publications. The letters of nomination should emphasize the candidate’s accomplishments and impact on his or her work in the field of microchemistry. Nominations are not restricted to members of the Society and nominations beyond North America are welcome. Nominations from
past years are eligible for re-nomination, but all information including letters of support must be updated. The award consists of a plaque, and travel expenses to the Fall 2005 Eastern Analytical Symposium (EAS) in Somerset, New Jersey, USA where a symposium will be held in the awardee’s honor. The Microchemical Journal is the scientific publication of the American Microchemical Society. In conjunction with the award symposium, the awardee is eligible to have a special issue of the Microchemical Journal published in his or her honor.
