The Congress will take place in Prague, Czechoslovakia, from August 25th till 29th, 1980 (not from 18th till 22nd, as was announced originally). The Congress will be organized on the occasions of the 90th anniversary of the birth of Professor Jaroslav Heyrovskjr, Nobel price laureate in Chemistry 1959, and of 30 years since the foundation of the Polaro~aphi~ Institute which now forms part of the J. Heyrovsky Institute of Physical Chemistry and Electrochemistry of the Czechoslovak Academy of Sciences. The aim of the Congress is to survey the present state of polarography and related methods in the fields of basic research, contemporary instrumental techniques, analytical chemistry and applications in industry, biology, medicine and environmental science.
