Abstract PURPOSE: It can be difficult particularly for pulmonary residents and less-experienced physicians who are not specialized in chest radiology to differentiate benign from malignant findings in chest imaging. A PDA tutorial to train and refresh knowledge about benign and malignant findings in chest imaging is desirable. METHODS: This chest tutorial consists of over 330 images and corresponding descriptions covering plain film, CT, MRI, angiography, nuclear medicine and pathology. Chapters offer guides to tumor appearance, location, pseudotumors, development of metastases, TNM, and more. RESULTS: We present a PDA tutorial which serves pulmonary residents and less-experienced physicians a handy learning tool as well as a quick reference to differentiate benign from malignant findings in chest imaging. Pre-defined menus allow individual and targeted display of content. Cooperation with online materials allow the user to view images on a web-based version as well. CONCLUSION: Targeted search options enhance the learning experience by allowing the information to be quickly accessed. CLINICAL IMPLICATIONS: Free online download makes it quickly available, thus accommodating the user's needs to quickly access the materials.
