tight casting of a full cast crown may adhere tightly to the prepared Dentoform tooth. This could happen due to the existence of any of the following conditions: (1) a well fitting crown with the walls of the preparation almost parallel, (2) overwaxed margins, (3) slight undercuts or roughness on the surface of the preparation, (4) improperly cleaned castings with some debris or investment left on the inside, and (5) d amaged margins due to accidental dropping of the casting. To avoid the use of force or pliers, which mav lead to the fracture of the preparation, the following technique is used.
