SUMMARY*

A device was_constructed to provide a continuous supply of the solvent vapor _ to the cover plate of the sandwich-type chamber. Its various functions were examined, e.g. reproducibility, overflow development, applicability to preparative purposes, etc. A comparative study was made for two basic methods of development in the normal box-type and sandwich tank with and without a saturation cover plate.
