Fluence raises A$36.0mn to fund continued expansion

luence Corp Ltd has raised A$36.0 million through a placement of approximately 81.8 million of the company’s ordinary shares to sophisticated and professional institutional investors at an issue price of A$0.44 per share. Net proceeds from the placement will be used to fund Fluence’s continued expansion in China for MABR sales, to bolster geographic expansion, for CES projects guarantees, to optimize the business’s cost structure, as well as for general corporate purposes. The company is also offering a Share Purchase Plan (SPP) to eligible shareholders to raise up to a further A$6 million before costs. “We are very appreciative of the continued support we have received from existing investors and are pleased to welcome more than a dozen new Australian institutional investors to the register,” said Henry Charrabé, managing director and CEO of Fluence. “A substantial portion of the

panish pool equipment company Fluidra is marking 50 years in business. Established in 1969 as Astral SA by four founding families, today Fluidra operates internationally across both the residential and commercial pool & wellness markets. Following initial success in Spain, the company began its international expansion during the 1970s in France and Italy. The 1980s and 1990s saw the company consolidate its business in Spain and expand internationally, opening subsidiaries across Europe and the Middle East. Banco Sabadell acquired 20% of the company’s share capital in 2002. In 2007, the company went public when Fluidra listed on the Spanish Stock Exchange. Expo 2020 Dubai, which runs from 20 October 2020 to 10 April 2021, is expected to welcome millions of visitors from around the world with almost 200 countries participating in the event. Showing the very best of Swedish innovation, Sweden’s 2700 sq m pavilion includes a general exhibition section, a closed conference area, a shop and a café as well as office and staff areas. The theme of the Swedish pavilion, which is made entirely from wood, is the forest.
