Ascension Industries appoints new president
and product offerings to Rosedale Products of California customers giving them a more application-based solutions supplier.
Donald Naab has joined North Tonawanda, New York-based process and filtration equipment manufacturer Ascension Industries Inc as president.

San Jose, California-headquartered Valin is a privately held, employee-owned company providing technical solutions for the technology, energy, life sciences, natural resources and transportation industries. Valin represents a number of filtration systems technology suppliers and delivers a range of turn-key filtration solutions.

In his new role, Naab will oversee Ascension Industries’ daily operations, input strategic direction and market penetration and become a member of the company’s board of directors. Naab most recently served as president and CEO of Danotek Motion Technologies, a Michigan company focused on the wind energy market. He has also been group president of Broadwind Energy.
Valin Corp has strengthened its presence in the filtration industry by acquiring Irvine, California, USA-based bag and cartridge filter supplier Rosedale Products of California.
Envirogen acquires Derwent Water Envirogen Water Technologies has acquired the assets of Derwent Water Services and Derwent Water Systems. Derwent Water, which manufactures water treatment plant ranging from basic water softeners and reverse osmosis equipment to customer specified complex water treatment solutions, substantially increases Envirogen’s presence in the UK industrial water treatment and filtration market. The Envirogen Group already includes Puresep Technologies and Environmental Water Systems (UK) in Europe and Envirogen Technologies Inc in the US.

CECO chairman retires CECO Environmental Corp founder Phillip DeZwirek has retired as chairman and a director of the company. He has been replaced as CECO chairman by his son Jason DeZwirek. Hollingsworth & Vose has announced price increases for its filtration media products used in the engine and transportation industries and other selected filtration media. The price increases are due to rising raw material costs, especially for pulps and energy.
