The session commenced shortly after 9 a.m. with the President, Mr. D. W. Everitt, M.P.S., in the Chair. New members of the C.I.P.H. were welcomed, one from Roumania and one from Switzerland. A Buffet Lunch was taken at 12.30 p.m. in a pleasant restaurant in the beautiful Orangerie Gardens opposite the Council of Europe buildings. This informal luncheon was attended b y the D e p u t y Director of Economic and Social Affairs, the Secretary to the Public Health Committee of the Council of Europe, and the Dean and five Professors from the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Strasbourg.
