an has been in general dental practice in Schaumburg, Illinois since graduating from the University of Illinois College of Dentistry in 1969. He joined Alpha Omega as a freshman dental student in 1965. He is a second generation Alpha Omegan. His late father was one of the founding members of the Alpha Omega undergraduate chapter at Loyola University Dental School. Dan’s daughter, Andrea Nakisher, is an orthodontist and a third generation Alpha Omegan. She lives in West Bloomfield, Michigan along with her two daughters Isabel and Emily and her son David. Dan’s son Jordan, is the President of American Sign and Lighting. He lives in Elmhurst, Illinois with his wife Barbara,
their daughters Samantha and Ava, and their son Joseph. Dan has been married to his wife, Arlene since 1966. He has held numerous local and international offices and committee appointments since joining Alpha Omega including President of the Illinois Alumni Chapter, Regent, a three-year term as International Trustee, Treasurer of the 1999 “Convention of the Century” and a one year term as a member of the Board of Directors. He has just completed a three year term as International Editor. He has also served organized dentistry and the University of Illinois College of Dentistry Alumni Association in various capacities. Dan currently holds Fellowships in the American College of Dentists, International College of Dentists and the Academy of General Dentistry.

red Margolis received his B.S. and D.D.S. from The Ohio State University and his certificate in pediatric dentistry from the University of Illinois College of Dentistry. Fred is a Clinical Instructor at Loyola University’s Oral Health Center. He is a Fellow of the International College of Dentists, the American College of Dentists, the Pierre Fauchard Academy, the Academy of Dentistry International, and the Odontographic Society of Chicago. Fred has served on the Board of Directors of the Chicago Dental Society and the Board of Trustees of the Illinois State Dental Society. He has served as an officer of the North Side Branch of the Chicago Dental Society. Fred is the recipient of the Distinguished Member Award by the Illinois State Dental Society in 2005.

He is a past-president of the Illinois Foundation of Dentistry for the Handicapped. He has served as the Chairperson of the Special Olympics Special Smiles program for Chicago for the past fifteen years. He was recently appointed to the USA Board of Dental Volunteers for Israel. Fred joined Alpha Omega as a dental student at The Ohio State University in1970 and served as chapter treasurer and received the Outstanding Senior Award. He has been a Trustee and a member of the board of directors of Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity for the past five years. Fred is in full-time private practice of pediatric dentistry in Buffalo Grove, Illinois. Fred and Susan have been married for thirty-six years and are the proud parents of David and Adam.
