deposition solution, whereby gold is directly deposited on exposed surfaces of the copper circuit features in the presence of detectable amounts of palladium catalyst; rinsing; and drying. CORROSION-RESISTANT FOR ALUMINUM

COATING

U.S. Patent 6,087,017. July 11, 2000 J. W. Bibber, assignor to Sanchem Znc., Chicago An anodized

or nonanodized aluminum or aluminum alloy article having thereon a wax acid polyester protective coating formed by the in-situ reaction of a palybasic acid or anhydride, a polyol, and an effective amount of a lanolin wax acid such that, when subjected to a salt fog at 95°F for at

least 100 hr, the article will show no signs of corrosion.

D. Bohler, assignor to Gunther Bohler GmbH, Denzlingen, Germany

An ultraviolet-curable clearcoat composition comprising 40 to 60% by weight of an inert solvent; 30 to 90% of an acrylated aliphatic polyether urethane; 15 to 70% of an acrylate with multiple functionality; a light stabilizer; and a photopolymerization initiator or sensitizer.

A method for the abrasive blasting of workpieces comprising introducing a workpiece into a chamber, which is closed in an essentially airtight manner on all sides; reducing the pressure in the chamber by extracting air; and feeding a blasting agent and air, via a blasting pipe unit, into the chamber and onto the workpiece, the feed of the blasting agent being effected essentially by the suction action of the subatmospheric pressure in the chamber.
