Digital flow transmitters Improved performance now stainless steel for liquid transfers Bürkert Fluid Control Systems has improved the technical features and appearance of its 8026, 8036 and 8076 model digital flow transmitters. The models are now housed in stainless steel and feature new processors, new software, additional features and a new operating concept which involves the removable displays of the flow transmitters being programmable and equipped with backlight for easier operation. All customer-specific settings, such as the measuring range, units of measurement, pulse output and filters are configured directly at

the device. The programming itself is done using a joystick. The flow transmitters with 4-20 mA output are available in two versions: basic (1 NPN transistor output) and advanced (two NPN/PNP transistor outputs). They comply with UL safety standards and provide IP protection in protection class IP 65/67. The flow transmitters are suitable for use in water treatment and process automation and in the food and beverage, dairy, brewing, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals industries. www.burkert.com

The NF25 pump with improved performance-to-size ratio.

KNF Neuberger has developed a new diaphragm pump for liquid transferring that it says has the highest performance-to-size ratio of any liquid pump in the marketplace. The pump, which has a compact size, can handle liquid and gas-liquid mixtures at a flow rate up to 250 ml/min in <2.3 in3.

and continuous pressure to 14.5 psig can be achieved. It also includes a valve system that creates a linear flow-to-motor speed curve. Standard versions are offered with brush DC, ironless core DC, or a 4-wire brushless DC motor. The NF25 diaphragm pump is suitable for simple dosing applications such as drink dispensers, medical devices, fuel cells, inkjet printers, semiconductors, cleaning and disinfectant devices, and water treatment.

The NF25 pump includes an anti-cavitation chamber on the inlet side to promote extremely quiet operation, higher flow, and fewest air bubbles in the pumped liquid. Flows to 0.25 l/min, self-prime to 9 in.

Robust turbopump for harsh applications

New small capacity liquid ring range

Pfeiffer Vacuum has developed the HiPace60 turbopump which has a robust bearing system, making the pump suitable for use in harsh industrial applications.

Gardner Denver Nash has developed the NASH Vectra SX, a new range of small capacity liquid ring vacuum pumps and compressors.

The HiPace also incorporates an improved rotor design that offers high pumping speeds and high gas throughputs, and is resistant to particulate matter and dust. The turbo pump includes integrated drive electronics and a variety of drive versions, including Profibus and DeviceNet, are available. Remote and sensor functionalities enable pump

data, such as temperatures, to be analysed. The housing is made of aluminium which makes the pump more lightweight, and the design of its surface offers improved cooling. It incorporates a sealing gas connection to safeguard the bearings against particulate matter or oxidising gases. www.pfeiffer-vacuum.com

The Vectra SX range delivers flow rates between 35 and 210m³/h with 50 Hz motors. Motors in the power range between 0.75 kW and 5.5 kW are available for the five sizes manufactured, while 60 Hz motors are also available with flowrates up to 260 m³/h. Compared to other pumps of the same capacity range, the NASH Vectra SX consumes up to 40% less energy and up to 50% less operating fluid, the company says.

Three versions are available to suit various process requirements for high vacuum levels up to 33 mbar, for increased water handling (up to 10 times the normal quantity of process fluids) and for compressor operation. Two drive arrangements are also available: a monobloc design and an ATEX-friendly lantern design. The NASH Vectra SX is available with a cast iron body with a stainless steel liner, and a stainless steel impeller and port plate, or made completely of 316 stainless steel. www.gdnash.com
