c A s ~ NO. 26 Another case of ovarian c y s t - - a Very large one in a woman of 55 with multiple fibroids, requiring total hysterectomy and removal of both ovaries. c A s ~ NO. 27 A woman of 65 with post-coronary occlusion. H e r slow recovery and multiple symptoms really amounted to melancholia. She had much palpitation and not surprisingly received A u r u m . "

CAS~ NO. 28 And now the syeotie miasm further on: a woman of 43 presenting with a pain in left loin persistent for 4 years, for which all investigations are negative. H e r history is: appendectomy and rheumatic fever as a girl, ovarian cyst removed at 21; miscarriage at 24, thereafter dyspareunia and menorrhagia. Total hysterectomy for fibroids and removal of cystic left o v a r y at 36. This woman has never really been well for years and while there is a great deal of anxiety and even perhaps some hysteria now, the sycotic background is obvious. CAS~ NO. 29 A nurse of 25 with a history of occasional rectal bleeding for 5 years. Bowel action normal, never diarrhoea. The sigmoidoscopy showed an acutely inflamed rectum and sigmoid colon with pus--typicM ulcerative colitis. Mere. cor. helped. She had a history of jaundice at 19 following desensitizing injections for allergic rhinitis. Some cases of ulcerative colitis begin with proetitis and constipation rather t h a n diarrhoea. Homoeopathy can do a lot to help, but they are difficult cases. And now if you'll excuse me I must hurry off to the Matron's New Year Party.

D R THOMAS DOUGLAS ROSS I t is with the very deepest regret t h a t we have to announce the death, on September 8th 1964, of Dr Thomas Douglas Ross, Past-President of the Faculty of Homoeopathy. The obituary will appear in the next issue.
