The author regrets two mistakes to cited literature. In Section 2.2, a list of known crystal structures of the “parent” complex cation [Pt(terpy)Cl]+ should have included the structure reported for the chloride salt: A. S¸engül, Turk. J. Chem. 28 (2004) 667. In Section 3.1.2, the reference for the crystal structure of the [Pt(terpy)(ONO2 )]+ cation should have been: A. S¸engül, Turk. J. Chem. 29 (2005) 571.
