Lozari ( Corsica - France ) 1-4 September 1992 Up to now, research in the field of fatigue has essentially focussed on material related considerations. In doing so, the important issue of structural design has been somewhat neglected. One of the main goals of the conference is the presentation of new methods of structural analysis and design related to fatigue engineering with emphasis on the following themes: - Three-dimensional geometry and multiaxial loading - Complex loadiig with variable amplitude - Environment related phenomena - Contact phenomena - Surface treatments and residual stresses. - Statistical aspects of fatigue - Reliability. - Simplified analyses for fatigue design. Euromech colloquia are of informal character with a limited number of invited participants.
