Asoma announces a new application for the Model 600L on-line plating bath analyzer to provide continuous, in-process monitoring of gold concentrations in electroless and immersion baths. Employing the technique of Xray fluorescence the analyzer reports gold concentrations by direct observation of the bath as continuously circulated through a flow cell. The analysis process is closed-loop and nondestructive so no waste products are generated. The 600L's output can be used to maintain optimal bath stoichiometry by controlling automated additions of replenishment concentrates. Features include multiple-stream analysis, computer control of measuring head, and the data can be directed to an at-line visual display or printer.
