BAA special interest group in accounting education: annual prize The BAA-SIG in Accounting Education offers an annual prize for the best paper published in Accounting Education: An International Journal. This prize consists of a cheque for £100 and an inscribed certificate. The criteria for the award of the prize include: • a focus on enhancing the educational base of accounting practice; • a transferable message which goes beyond national of institutional boundaries; • empirical content. The prize is awarded on the basis of recommendations from the Editorial Advisors of Accounting Education: An International Journal. The winners for 1995 are: Reva B. Brown and Sean McCartney for their paper ‘Competence is not enough: meta-competence and accounting education’ which appeared in Vol. 4, No. 4, March 1995, pp. 43–53. Richard M. S.
