to visualize the o p e r a t i o n of fluid piping systems. Using the innovative FLO-Sheet p r o g r a m interface, one c a n d r a w t h e piping system with built-in d r a w i n g tools, a n d size t h e pipelines using engineering d a t a tables on disk. The software calculates the flow rates a n d pressures t h r o u g h o u t the system. Pipe-Flo version 6 incorporates m a n y advanced drawing tools such as the ability to copy m u l t i p l e pipelines in a single step t h e n paste t h e m onto the Flo-Sheet. With the fly-by viewer one p o i n t s to a n object on the FloSheet, such as a pipeline or p u m p , a n d sees its design details or how it affects the rest of t h e p i p i n g system. The n e w System Resistance Curve feature plots the p u m p curve a n d system curve, so the user can see the o p e r a t i o n of the complete piping system. The Pipe-Flo p r o g r a m is used by engineers a n d designers in the petrochemical, food processing~ w a t e r a n d waste water, p u l p a n d paper, electric power generation, HVAC a n d manufact u r i n g i n d u s t r i e s . The b r o a d usage is accomplished by allowing users to load the pipe, fluid, a n d valve e n g i n e e r i n g d a t a tables t h a t meet the needs of t h e i r specific industry. There are libraries of over 50 pipe materials, 800 fluids, l 0 specialty valve tables, and 40 p u m p manufacturers to choose from. Many of these data tables can be downloaded from Engineered Software's Website, or are available directly from the manufacturers of these products.
