RESULTS In the observation group, the incidence rate of DVT lower than that of control group 1 and control group 2,while the incidence rate of DVT control group 1 lower than the control group 2,the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).all of the patients with postoperative hemoglobin platelets were lower than those before operation, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.01),no statistical significance between the two groups (P>0.05).all of the patients show no statistically significant on blood coagulation function, D-D (P>0.05). CONCLUSIONS There was very important to prevent DVT of hip fracture in elderly patients, rivaroxaban combined with aspirin may effectively prevent DVT,which is worthy of clinical application. hypertension status, fasting plasma glucose (FPG), glycated hemoglobin (hemoglobin A1c, HbA1c), and lipid profile [total cholesterol, fasting triglycerides, low-density lipoprotein (LDL)-cholesterol, and high-density lipoprotein (HDL)-cholesterol were collected before the amputation. Von kossa staining, PepTagÒ Assay and Western blot were then performed. RESULTS Similarly with Von Kossa staining, CT scan results showed that calcium deposition in anterior tibial artery plaques of diabetic patients hospitalized for above-knee amputation were enlarged and calcium particles density in moderate and severe groups were stronger than that in mild group. The calcification in all calcification groups were showed as spotty calcification. PepTagÒ Assay, Western blot and Pearson correlation showed that anterior tibial artery calcification score in diabetic patients hospitalized for above-knee amputation was positively associated with PKC activity(r¼0.931, P<0.001). Further analysis indicated that alpha subtypes of PKC may be play an important role to promote the evolution of calcification.

CONCLUSIONS The activation of PKC subtypes may play a catalytic role of evolution of calcification in atherosclerotic plaques, so as to further target the mechanism of vascular calcification.

OBJECTIVES To observe the correlation between the main components of advanced glycation end products Nε-carboxymethyl-Lysine(CML) and the calcification of the anterior tibial artery plaque in patients with diabetic foot amputation.

GW28-e0373 Association between Serum Uric Acid Level and Carotid Artery Arteriosclerosis in Patients with Impaired Glucose Tolerance

METHODS Sixty patients hospitalized for diabetic foot amputation in the Department of Orthopedics, Affiliated Hospital of Jiangsu University were recruited from June 2012 to June 2016. The patients were categorized based on the severity of anterior tibial artery stenosis assessed by color Doppler ultrasound, into mild stenosis (0% < stenosis < 50%, n ¼ 20), moderate stenosis (50 stenosis < 70%, n ¼ 20) and severe stenosis (70 stenosis 100%, n ¼ 20). The baseline clinical data of patients were collected and anterior tibial artery was isolated. Then, HE staining, O-Cresolphthalein Complexone method, enzymic method and ELASA analysis were then performed to detect the evolution of calcification, arterial calcium content, alkaline phosphatase activity and serum CML concentration, respectively. RESULTS 1. The results from both color Doppler ultrasound scan before amputation and HE staining after amputation showed that spotty blue calcium particles of anterior tibial artery plaque, as well as echo intensity, increased significantly and even destructed the elastic plate of the arterial wall with the aggravation of stenosis. 2. Quantitative analysis showed that the content of calcium, ALP activity and serum CML level in anterior tibial artery showed a significant upregulation trend with the aggravation of stenosis– mild stenosis group vs moderate stenosis group vs severe stenosis group: the content of calcium (2.30.9 mmol/mg vs 3.91.3 mmol/mg vs 6.61.7 mmol/mg, P<0.001), ALP activity (102.439.4 U/mg vs 202.3 73.4 U/mg vs 483.7117.9 U/mg, P<0.001) and serum CML level (28.94.4 ng/mL vs 37.95.3ng/mL vs 57.37.1 ng/mL, P<0.001). Pearson correlation analysis showed that serum CML level was positively associated with the content of calcium (r¼0.749, P<0.0001) and ALP activity (r¼0.923, P<0.0001), respectively. CONCLUSIONS Serum CML level may be related with the calcification of anterior tibial arterial plaque in patients with diabetic amputation. GW28-e0220 Correlation Between Protein Kinase C Activity and Anterior Tibial Artery Calcification Score in Patients with Diabetic Foot Amputation Lele Jing,1 Lihua Li,1 Jinchuan Yan,1 Zhongqun Wang1 1 Affiliated Hospital of Jiangsu University OBJECTIVES To observe the relationship between Protein Kinase C (PKC) activity and anterior tibial artery calcification score in patients with diabetic foot. METHODS 60 diabetic patients hospitalized for above-knee amputation in the Department of Orthopedics, Affiliated Hospital of Jiangsu University were recruited from October 2012 to January 2016. Yina Wang,1 Qiongli Yin,1 Xiaoming Ye1 1 Special Medical Treatment Center, The Third Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University OBJECTIVES To investigate the relationship between serum Uric Acid (UA) level and carotid artery arteriosclerosis in patients with impaired glucose tolerance (IGT). METHODS Serum UA of 176 IGT patients (male: 86, female: 90) were detected. High frequency ultrasound was used to detect IMT and plaques. According to the results of high frequency ultrasound, the 176 cases were divided to three groups (groups A, B and C) according to carotid artery ultrasonometry IMT (group A: IMT0. 9 mm; group B: 0. 9 mm < IMT <1.3 mm; group C: IMT1.3 mm or plaques formation). The correlation between the level of UA and carotid artery disease was analyze. RESULTS The serum UA levels of group A were significantly lower than the other two groups (P <0. 05). After adjusting for age, gender, smoking, LDL, systolic blood pressure, body mass index, total cholesterol, triglyceride and C - reactive protein (CRP), logistic regression analysis showed that the serum UA level was an independent risk factor for carotid atherosclerosis and carotid artery IMT (P<0.05). Spearman analysis showed that, serum UA was positively correlated with TG (r ¼0. 395, P ¼ 0. 000) and hs - CRP (r ¼0. 162, P ¼0. 031), but was negatively correlated with HDL - C (r ¼ -0. 236, P ¼0. 003). Serum UA was almost positively correlated with BMI (r ¼0. 158, P ¼0. 053). CONCLUSIONS Serum UA level is a risk factor for carotid atherosclerosis in patients with IGT. Body weight and lipids metabolism disorder may contribute to the incidence of hyperuricemia in patients with IGT.
