Houston dentist elected to ADA Board

HOUSTON DENTIST ELECTED TO ADA BOARD Stephen F. Schwartz, D.D.S., M.S., who practices the dental specialty of endodontics in Houston, Texas, was recently installed as Second Vice President of the American Dental Association during the recent meeting of the ADA House of Delegates in Philadelphia. As Second Vice President, Dr. Schwartz will serve on the ADA Board of Trustees, which formulates and reviews policies and programs and makes recommendations to the 460 members of the Association’s governing body, the House of Delegates. In this capacity, he will play a major role in the ADA’s over-all objective of protecting and improving the public’s oral health and promoting advances in dentistry. The ADA consists of more than 152,000 member dentists throughout the United States and its territories.

Dr. Lee Pollan, was recently honored by his chapter upon his recent election to be vice-president of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. This places him on the executive ladder of that organization to become president-elect and then president over the next three years. Lee is a member of the Rochester Gilead chapter of Alpha Omega.

Dr. Michael Burstein is the 2005 recipient of the New York State Dental Association’s Bernard Tillis Award for dental journalism. He has served as President of the Queens-Nassau Chapter of Alpha Omega.
