Intraosseous lipoma of sacrum

2 A 54-years-old man presented to the orthopedics clinic with low back pain. Magnetic resonance

RI PT

3

imaging (MRI) revealed an moderate expansive mass in sacrum (figure1,2). The mass was hyperintense

5

on T2weighted (T2W) and T1 weighted (T1W) images (figure1,2), and heterogeneous with contrast

6

enhancement (figure 1,2).The mass was hypointense onfat-suppressed T1 weighted (T1W) images (figure

7

1,2). İt was free of any signs of progress at the follow-up examinations performed after 3 months and

8

after six month. Based on the above findings, we diagnosed intraosseous lipoma in sacrum. Intraosseous

9

lipoma of sacrum is very rare but has been reported(1).
