Letter from the Editors Under the editorial leadership and careful management of Professor Frits Sobels and Professor Julian Preston, Mutation Research Letters has evolved into an excellent conduit for short papers on a wide spectrum of topics dealing with mutation research. It, along with its sister publications in the Mutation Research series, maintains a recognized standard for excellence as one of the leading publications in this ever expanding field of study. We are simultaneously excited and awed by the managing editor responsibilities entrusted to us, and we, along with Professor Sobels, are committed to maintaining Mutation Research Letters as the premier international journal dedicated to the rapid publication of short papers which deal with problems in our field. To that end, we encourage all our colleagues to consider submitting papers to us for review and publication. In an effort to speed up the review process we remind you that you may submit your manuscript to any member of the Editorial Board for consideration. We are initiating a rotating system of editorial board membership in an effort to allow more individuals to take ownership of journal responsibilities as well as to provide strength through the further hybridization of all our talents. As questions arise in the months and years ahead we encourage you to contact us directly so that we can give you the best service possible. Sheila M. Galloway
