prevention of sexually transmitted diseases is a stable, harmonious relationship, with a faithful partner. A necessary condition prior to the onset of sexual intercourse is a physical and mental maturity of both partners. It is recommended that the partner who has a urinary or sexually transmitted infection should first recover and then together with the partner maintain normal sexual hygiene. For systematic prevention of sexually transmitted infections diseases in this moment it is necessary: introduce an effective sexual aducation in schools starting from primary school, develop interdisciplinary cooperation between social and medical sciences, including all experts. Stil the best and most important education comes from a healthy family as the core of our society. We want to do something for that young population for education of Human Papillomavirus so we organized High school rock concerts. In appropriate assembly rooms of some Grammar and Secondary School of Zagreb during weekend evenings (Fridays, Saturdays) educational lectures held by medical specialist, were given about sexually transmitted deseases, particularly HPV and after the lectures rock concerts were held by some checked out rock groups and others young so-called "demo" group consisting of secondary school students of Zagreb. Lectures were short (each 20–30 min) accompanied with discussion. Lecture was given in the form of Power Point presentation. By organizing concerts the interest of that population to attend would be greater. Rock concerts after the lecture in some kind of bait for that population to be present at the lecture. By offering free refreshing beverages and media support by radio listened mostly by the young as well as the musical web portal, it has been tried to make popular the whole project. In all given lectures the lecture rooms were too small to accept all audience interested in lecture. Questions made after the lecture were those usual for that age. They asked about the way of contracting HPV, medical treatment of partners and use of contraceptives and aslo about vaccina. Booklets explaining in a popular way the sexually transmitted diseases, way of catching infection and protecting methods were distributed. Mass media have excellently marked the whole project with almost everyday information. We continued with this project also in the this school year. O511 The effectiveness of an educational program for visual inspection with acetic acid (VIA) as cervical cancer screening in Ugandan health care workers: A pilot project L. Levine1 , E. Banks1 , S. Eleanor3 . 1 Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Montefiore Medical Center, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, 2 Prevention International No Cervical Cancer, 3 Albert Einstein College of Medicine Objectives: To assess a brief, intense, educational intervention implementing VIA amongst diverse healthcare providers. Methods: This is a prospective analysis of an educational modality utilizing a pretest/posttest model. Subjects were physicians, midwives, nurses, and health officers serving women in Kisoro, Uganda recruited via posted announcements and personal invitation. Subjects were surveyed regarding basic demographics and pretested for knowledge in anatomy, cervical dysplasia, cervical cancer, and VIA. Subjects had interactive lectures on these topics and then observed screening by experts and performed screening in a mentored setting. Participants were retested with a validated instrument and technical skills were assessed on live patients at the conclusion of the 5 day workshop. Results: 15 healthcare workers participated in the initial screen and educational modality. The mean scores on the pretest and posttest were 60.9% and 80.3%, respectively (p < 0.001). Scores of the physicians and non-physicians were significantly different at 73.7% and 56.4%, respectively for the pretest (p < 0.01) and 75.2% and

94.0%, p < 0.01 for the posttest. Self-assessment of comfort increased after the training session (p < 0.001). There was a correlation between the participant’s score and the number of times they had seen the procedures. Conclusions: Our program improved knowledge in cervical anatomy and cervical cancer screening using VIA, irrespective of prior training. While level of prior training did correlate with scores on the pretest and posttest, the number of years of experience did not directly correlate with their results. Importantly, the level of comfort after the course did increase in every level of training. O512 Effects of ovarian carcinoma cells on the maturation and function of human dendritic cells C. Li, H. Duan, W. Zhang To investigate the mechanisms of dendritic cells (DC) defective function in tumor that allow them to escape initial immune recognition and destruction, observed the effects of ovarian carcinoma cells on the differentiation, maturation, and function of the mononuclear cell-derived DC in vitro. Ovarian carcinoma cells were used as the conditioned cultural medium for DC culture, while the human bone marrow stromal cells (HFCL) were used as control. And transwell system was used to no intercellular contact culture. The dendritic cells were characterized by phenotypic analysis and evaluated the ability to uptake dextran and stimulate allogeneic T cells of DC. Furthermore, mmune related cytokines were detected. The results show that DC cultured in the presence of ovarian carcinoma cells expressed lower levels of CD1a, MHC-II molecules (HLA-DR) and costimulatory molecules (CD86), and expressed higher CD83 (a typical molecule of mature DC) than that in control group. Moreover, they displayed a much lower ability of phagocytizing dextran and less efficient of inducing allogeneic T-cell proliferation in a mixed lymphocyte reaction, and downregulated IL-12 secretion were also observed. In conclusion, our data suggested ovarian carcinoma cells negatively regulate the production and function of DC by release soluble factors and intercellular contact, could suppress monocyte differentiation into DCs, the most potent antigen-presenting cells (APCs). which might be one of the underlying mechanisms that plays a role in the immune escape of tumor cells. O513 Combination of hysteroscopy and laparoscopy in the treatment of 167 cases of salpingian infertility C. Li, H. Duan, Y. Liu To analyze the clinical value of using hysteroscopy combined with laparoscopy in the diagnosis and treatment of salpingian infertility. 160 cases of salpingian infertility (326 oviducts) performed hysteroscopy combined with laparoscopy, which had been diagnosed by hysterosalpinggography before operation, data was compared and analyzed. In all of the 167 cases (312 abnormal oviducts) diagnosed by hysterosalpinggography, 164 oviducts were not found abnormal (52.56%, 164/312), 4 oviducts were unobstructed but adherence with periphery (1.28%, 4/312), 48 oviducts were interstitial tubal obstruction (15.38%, 48/312), and 96 oviducts were fallopian obstruction with hydrosalpinx (30.77%, 96/312). Otherwise, 2 of 14 normal oviducts diagnosed by hysterosalpinggography were unobstructed but adherence with periphery. The consistency ratio is 49.08% (160/326). Used combination of hysteroscopy and laparoscopy as “golden rule” of diagnosis, the sensitivity of hysterosalpinggography was 98.66%, specificity was 6.82%, positive predictive value was 47.44%, negative predictive value was 85.71%. All the cases of salpingian abnormal were treated during operation, and no complication.
