Significant in the current work also is the identification of diagnoses of clinical conditions requiring further medical attention. Authors have noted to adjust the threshold for ordering CT in women as the overall yield of stone and obstruction and other pathologies was low.

1.2. Comments to the author Authors' have reviewed the experience of 215 consecutive CT KUB performed to assess the detection rate of clinically significant alternate diagnosis. CT KUB performed for acute ureteral colic indeed has been shown in numerous previous studies to detect much beyond the ureteral stone. Authors have reported nothing which was not previously known. They have however noted a lower incidence of alternate diagnosis in women which is contrary
