Other Side of Moon – Rebuttal Rejuvenating practice of medicine A scientific medicine based on basic sciences, individual behavior and broad interdisciplinary knowledge and skills, competitive and quality health care, involvement of physicians in policy making at various levels and correct information to the population at large can change/rejuvenate not only the cure and care system but also foster the practice of medicine till human civilization exists. Excellent subjective analysis of the current medical profession and its inherent nature in the present day medical practice primarily based in India and neighboring nations has been done in recent publications.1,2 A few comments would help further understanding on the core of the practice medicine. Past several centuries has witnessed a physician-based medical practice which has played a key role in upliftment of human health and welfare that led to prolongation of human life. This engaging of physician in multidisciplinary aspect of health and medical care is vital even in modern medical practice. A medical doctor can be a healer, researcher, teacher, author, reporter, publisher, policy maker, etc. in relation to medical profession. A large number of students may want to learn medicine and want to become a doctor which can help nurture innovations and discoveries in health care competitively. We need more scientifically-oriented, ethical medical teachers of diverse nature and ability who can help medical students and future capable leaders in various subspecialties of medical profession. I also have observed a need for change in the core of medical curriculum by adding ethical practice of medical research and its outcome application to decrease human mortality, morbidity, disability and ethical care of human health and life.

Personal and social behavior changes with time and civilization. Therefore physician should not undermine the context of change in human, biological and mechanical factors in the society.
