New system makes tube Holistic design eliminates changes quick and easy sewage blockages German pump manufacturer Gardner Denver Thomas has developed a peristaltic pump incorporating the QuiXchange system which, the company says, makes tube changes extremely quick and easy while requiring no special tools. The spring loaded roller carrier and the housing provide protection for the tube and are extremely durable. Even at the high loads traditionally associated with pumping highly viscous liquids, the countered bearing motor shaft guarantees a safe operation, the company says.

can be regulated and the delivery rate set between of 0 and 3 l/h. Different tube sizes are available to meet any requirement. The suction height is 8 m and the pressure height is 10 m. The pump is suitable for applications such as the dosing of cleaning agents, delivering rinsing liquid and chemicals, and the removal of condensation. www.gardnerdenver.com Peristaltic pump featuring the QuiXchange system.

Information service for control and choke valves Valve specialist Severn Glocon has developed a new information service, Performance+, which has been developed to help users get the best performance from control and choke valves. The company now has a team which uses its Repair Intelligence Circle library of past problems and solutions along with its range of related services to help

understand product shortfalls and deliver results. The team is able to gather information on how a plant can achieve maximum potential by using specialist methods such as plant integrity surveys, a specification re-validation process and Unival Profiler Equipment. www.severnglocon.com

New website offers online parts ordering facility Progressing cavity pump designer Mono NOV has launched a new website that offers product and application information and an online parts ordering facility. The site has been developed to offer an industry-wide information resource which contains information on the company’s product range, together with videos and downloadable information

UK and European customers who require urgent replacement parts can order them on Mono Online, which can be assessed via the new site. “This kind of online resource is essential as more customers are using the internet to source information than ever before,” said Nichola Somerville, marketing manager at Mono. www.mono-pumps.com

Blockages occur in the pumping of any non-constant flows, such as sewage, because of the gradual build-up of debris on the pump impellers.

The Retroflo system has virtually eliminated blockages at sewage pumping stations where it is in operation.

K-based Retroflo has launched the RPC_2000 pump control system, which the company says has been designed using a “holistic rather than a traditional component-based approach to pump control”. It says it is the first product on the market to offer pre-blockage detection, consent security, intelligent flushing cycles, periodic efficiency testing and asset data storage within a single system.

self-cleansing sequence. This process has reportedly been proven to vastly reduce blockages and therefore the need for costly reactive maintenance call outs.

A key feature of the RPC_2000 is its pre-blockage detection facility. Designed to combat the traditional problems associated with pumping a non-constant fluid, the system detects solids build-up on the pump impeller and initiates a

The growing need for improved carbon management has been the driving force behind the Retroflo project, the company says. In operation at various sites the system has recorded a minimum 12% energy saving and a CAPEX payback within 12 months. The design of a universal system also means that it can be simply retrofitted in existing pumping stations, Retroflo adds. www.retroflo.com

Small size pump gives big performance increase Gardner Denver Thomas GmbH has extended its JADE series of diaphragm pumps with the twinhead version now also available as single-head. The modular system design, on which the entire product line is based, allows the combination of different motor types and pump head configurations, and either pressure or vacuum versions designed for very high flow are possible. The company says that the pump range offers the best performance to size ratio in the diaphragm pump sector, with a free flow of 4.5 l/min, pressure of 1.9 bar and vacuum of 78%, with dimensions of 80 x 30 x 55 mm and a weight of 180 g.

The pumps are available with different motors and in 12 and 24 V and with different eccentrics and materials for aggressive media. Typical applications for the JADE series 1410 are medical and analytic applications, pollution monitoring, fuel cells and battery operated equipment. www.gardnerdenver.com
