The wide application of computers in the field of production control requires the complex approach to its information supply. The main problem in this respect is to develop the principles of information supply organization which would allow one to arrive at the problems of presentation, storage and analysis of technological data from the general methodological positions in order to make decisions at different stages of production control. The problem of the decision-making concerning the choice of a certain alternative variant of a production cycle together with the questions of information supply arethe most difficult aspects to be formalized in organization and functioning of flexible manufacturing (FM). This difficulty arrives from the necessity to consider both the target parameters of the designed object and at the same time the possibilities of its production. The direct (functional) relationship between them is not a simple one and is formed as a rule in form of a "subjective" evaluation by an expert on the basis of the previously accumulated knowledge about relationship between separate decisions on design and technology and the integral target parameters of the objects already designed and tested.
conscience of an individual due to rather high concentration of information. It is necessary in this respect to pay special attention to the questions of structural synthesis of information supply using the modern computer application methods for storage and presentation of knowledge. Today there exist J different stages in the production information supply: - directive, service, control information flows; - information supply of planning and design preparations; - information supply technological preparation. Each of these stages has its own traditional structural scheme of information presentation, registration and usage. The PI.' organisation requires to work out the universal principles for structural organization of the information production supply at these stages. Considering the process of manufacturing organization as a consecutive decision-making from top to the bottom: - directives;
Because of the rapid groth in the number of precedents it is difficult however to register the previous decisions nothing to say of memorizing the great deal of them. At becomes impossible, therefore, to stir up knowledge of the designed objects of a certain SP (subject field) in the

cription of a teclmological process (CDTP) as a step by step detailed description of some production object, i.e. a description of its structural levels characterized by a qualitive constancy (product,unit, part, surface) as its components. \'fi th the gradual detaliza tion from
top to the bottom at every structural level, the above approach to the complex description permits us to obtain a one-to-one search identificator in the data base (DB) of previously realized prototypes for a given technological object.
The peculiarity of the suggested CDTP mechanism is also in that it allows to choose the prototype and at the same time to group the similar constructive objects at every stage, which permits the group technology method to be used in the production process. \'fi th the suggested CDTP structurization it is possible to examine the stages of design and technological manufacturing preparation as a whole which is particularly important because it is technology that is the most inertial moment in a production cycle which always leads to inevitable corrections of design in order to put it into practice at a specific manufacture. Having taken the types of elementary and standard surfaces united in a DB with their treatment methods as basic structural elements of complex description we shall therefore get opportunity to take into account the technological possibilities of manufacture on the stage of description synthesis of the designed construction. The manufacture organization may be imagined as a constant compromise: one is bound either to use the experience of his earlier decisions on design and technological preparations or to look for more optimum constructive and technological decisions. The suggested methods for complex information description of technological process will make it possible to replace a perfectly new design with the modification of prototypes found in the DB.
