The "12th International Summer School of Brain Research' will be held in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, from August 31 to September 3, 1981, and take place at the building of the Royal Dutch Academy of Sciences, Kioveniersburgwal 29, Amsterdam. The school will be devoted to the theme "Chemical Transmission in the Brain: The Role o f Amines, Amino Acids and Peptides': For more detailed information write to: Miss J. An 'International Conference on Integrative Neurohumoral Mechanics' will take place on March 24 to 27, 1982, in Budapest, Hungary. Amongst others the following topics will be discussed in their physiological and clinical aspects: "basal and medial hypothalamic control o f anterior pituitary functions - extrahypothalamlc control o f basal and medial hypothalamic nuclei - limbic structures as target for hormones - distribution and function o f peptidergtc neuronal system - neuropeptides and neurotransmitters in mental diseases - etc. '"
