The spectrum of accelerated electrons induced by the ion cyclotron instability in coronal loops A&S 13/2 (1993) 166-173 LI Ding-yi (Zhenjiang Shipbuilding In&de) XU Min-jian (Institute of Physics) MAO Ding-yi (Hehai University) WANG De-yu (Purple Mountain Observatory) Assuming that the fast ions inject continually into coronal loops, the evolution of the fast ion stream introduced by ion cyclotron instability in coronal loops and the process of the electron acceleration can be studied separately. In this paper, the quantitative expressions for the spectrum and flux of the accelerated electrons induced by the ion cyclotron instability are given in detail. Finally, some characteristics of the acceleration process and their possible applications are discussed. Kameno (Nobeyama Radio Observatory) Global fringe search technique is used to yield a simultaneous solution for all delay and fringe rate parameters. This approach may raise the sensitivity related to the baselines of small antennae. Taking 3C43, a compact steep spectrum source as an example we have made several experiments to find out how to raise the signal-noise rate and how to retain observational data as many as possible. We think that more radio structure information may be achieved with the knowledge of source structure and suitable processing techniques. Key words:

Discovery of cyclotron absorption time in accretion-powered X- ray pulsar EX02030+375 AApS 13/2 (1993) 193-196 WU Mei (Institute of High Energy Physics) LI Ti-bei SUN Xue-jun CHENG Ling-xiang A cyclotron absorption line was discovered in EX02030+375 for the first time. This source is the best one of X-ray pulsars with both direct measurement of magnetic field by applying the result of cyclotron absorption measurement and indirect measurement of magnetic torque by applying accretion torque theory. The results obtained from these two methods are quit different. The possible mechanism leading to the differences were suggested. Key words: Pulsar - neutron stars - cyclotron absorption
