The “Catchwords” Index to the Classification Key The new edition of the “Catchwords” is now available from Sale Branch of the Patent Office at St.Mary Cray, price f: 7.00 per copy. This is the first new edition since 1967 and the opportunity has been taken to re-present it in loose-leaf form, so as to enable easy updating. Updating sheets will be produced for sale as circumstances permit; annually if possible. The new edition has also been completely reset in a more modern typestyle and to minimise costs a three column layout is now used which nevertheless is extremely clear and legible. Many archaic words and words relating to details of well-defined broader areas of subject-matter have also been delecred in an effort to produce a compact but still comprehensne general guide. The Science Reference Library, London In a series of guides to the patent and trade mark literature holdings of the Science Reference Library two new titles have appeared: Guide to German patent and trade mark publications (including East Germany), ISBN O-90291447-2, and Guide to United States patent and trademark literature, ISBN o-902914-52-9. The author is in both cases Brenda M. Rimmer. The guides revise and update two older publications on the same subjects. Although they are based on and refer to the holdings of the Science Reference Library, they contain a wealth of universally applicable information and give a comprehensive survey of both official and unofficial publications on patents and trade marks of the countries in question. It is the intention of the Library to include eventually the contents of the two brochures in a general guide to industrial property literature to be published by the Science Reference Library. Price: & 2.50 for each of the guides Sale : The British Librar), Science Reference LibraI-),, 25 Southampton Buildings, London WCZA 1AW.
