The Kern GP-I is flatbed plotter with a drawing area of 1200 mm by 120 mm. It contains a PDPI 1/03 minicomputer and is connected to its host by an RS232 interface. Accuracy is 140 pm for both scribing and drawing. When in scribing mode, the drawing head rotates the scribe. Point-to-point acceleration is O.6 g. The system may also be used as a digitizer and can be turned nearly vertically. The price is about £19 000, depending on accessories.
