University of Hong Kong Clinical Pathologist/Scientific Officer (Cytogenetics) (Re-advertisement) Applications are invited for the post of Clinical Pathologlist or Scientific Officer (Cytogenetics) in the Haematology Section of the Hospital Pathology Services, Department of Pathology. The grade of Clinical Pathologist is fi~r a medically qualified appointeA who would be expected to have prior experience iin cytogenetics. Alternatively, the grade of Scientific Officer is for a non-medically qualified appointee who should hold a higher degree and who has suitable experienc~., in cytogenetics related to clinical medicine. Annual salaries (superannuable) (under review) are on the ~!;cales:Clinical Pathologist: HK $219,120-446,040 (13 points); Scientific Officer: HK $233,700-390,600 (11 points) (approx. US $1 = HK $7.80 as at August 6, 1990). Sta~,ting salary will depend on qualifications and experience. At current rates, salaries ta~:will not exceed 15% of gross income. Children's education allowances, leave, and medical benefits are provided; housing or tenancy allowances are also provided in most cases at a charge of 7.5% of salary.
