11th International Neurotoxicology Association meeting The 11th biannual INA meeting is scheduled to take place at the Asilomar Conference Center, Pacific Grove, CA on 10–15 June, 2007. Asilomar is located on the Pacific Ocean just outside of Monterey, California approximately 120 mi (200 km) south of San Francisco and roughly 300 mi (500 km) north of Los Angeles. The three focuses of the conference are: • Promoting repair and blocking neurotoxic injury through genetic and pharmacological methods • Risk assessment for neurotoxicity using in vitro methods, invertebrate models, and human neuropsychological assessment • Identification and characterization of new neurotoxicological concerns.

Highlights of the meeting include the Jacob Hooisma Lecture to be given by Dr. Fred Gage of the Salk Institute for Biological Sciences, a student symposium, 8 symposia, and opportunities for both oral and poster presentations, and the traditional soccer match. Finally an exciting tour of the beautiful Monterey Peninsula will be included. As always, the conference will be restricted to approximately 200 participants.
