13th Sensometrics Meeting Sensometrics-By-The-Sea July 27–July 29, 2016 The Waterfront Hotel, Brighton, East Sussex, UK

The Sensometric Society and the local organizing committee cordially invite you to the 13th Sensometrics meeting, ‘‘Sensometrics-By-TheSea,” to be held July 27–July 29, 2016 at the Waterfront Hotel in Brighton, East Sussex, UK. We also invite you to attend the preconference tutorials on July 26, 2016. Scope and topics Sensometrics is the scientific area that applies mathematical and statistical methods to problems from sensory and consumer science. The main aims of the Sensometrics conferences are:  to increase the awareness of the special methodologies and statistical methods used in the analysis of sensory and consumer science data,  to improve the communication and co-operation between persons interested in the scientific principles, methods and applications of sensometrics,  to serve as an interdisciplinary meeting to disseminate scientific knowledge on the field of sensometrics. Previous meetings were held in Leiden, The Netherlands (1992), Edinburgh, UK (1994), Nantes, France (1996), Copenhagen, Denmark (1998), Columbia MO, USA (2000), Dortmund, Germany (2002), Davis CA, USA (2004), Ås, Norway (2006), St. Catharine’s ON, Canada (2008), Rotterdam, The Netherlands (2010), Rennes, France (2012) and Chicago (2014). Call for papers The 13th Sensometrics meeting invites oral and poster contributions from all areas of sensometrics. Please submit an abstract for either an oral or poster presentation on the conference website at http://www.Sensometrics2016.com, using the template available there. All submissions need to be received by March 25, 2016. Notification about acceptance will be made by April 30, 2016. All accepted contributions are invited to submit a full

paper for inclusion in a special issue of Food Quality and Preference (FQAP). Registration Early-bird registration is available until May 26, 2016.
