NEH Summer Seminars for College Teachers Approximately 100 eight-week Summer Seminars for College Teachers wdl be offered by the Natmnal Endowment for the Human1ties durmg the summer of 1978 The seminars wdl cover various dtsctphnes and will be located at major umversmes and research centers m all regions of the country Twelve college teachers will be selected to attend each seminar and will recewe a stipend of $2000 for a 2-month tenure period plus travel money of up to $400 The purpose of the program is to provide opportumty for faculty members of undergraduate and 2-year colleges to work with distinguished scholars m their field at snstltuttons with library collections suitable for advanced study Some seminars will be broadly gauged, extending in many cases across traditional dtsclphnary lines, others wall focus on more spectahzed topms within a ssngle discipline Specific reformation concerning seminar topics, directors and locations will be available upon request m early December Prospectwe apphcants should write Div of Fellowships.
